Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of the services provided by Matex IT Services and forms part of our Terms of Service.
By using our services, you agree to comply with this AUP. Matex IT Services may update or modify this AUP at any time without prior notice.

Matex IT Services provides hosting and related services strictly for lawful purposes. You must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards when using our services. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone and to remove or disable any content that violates this AUP, with or without prior notice.

Failure to respond to communication from our Abuse Department within the specified timeframe may result in suspension or termination of your services.

You are responsible for ensuring that your agents, clients, customers, and end-users (“Users”) comply with this AUP. Our services may only be used for legitimate business and commercial purposes. Activities deemed illegal, abusive, harmful, or disruptive to our network, servers, or other customers—at our sole discretion—are strictly prohibited.


1. Domain Registrant Education

Registrant Benefits & Responsibilities

Customers registering or managing domain names through Matex IT Services must comply with all ICANN policies, registry rules, and applicable laws.


2. Prohibited Uses

2.1. Intellectual Property Infringement

Using our services to infringe on another party’s intellectual property rights is strictly prohibited. This includes unauthorized copying, distribution, or hosting of:

  • Movies, music, books, software, images

  • Counterfeit goods

  • Pirated content or warez

Accounts engaged in infringement will be suspended or terminated. Repeat offenders will be removed permanently.

2.2. Shared Hosting Backup Abuse

Shared hosting accounts may not be used as backup or storage drives.
Only one cPanel backup of the same account is allowed.
Do not store multiple backups.


2.3. Unacceptable Material

Matex IT Services has a zero-tolerance adult content policy.
Any content containing nudity, partial nudity, sexual material, or anything deemed adult in nature is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination without refund.

Additional unacceptable content includes (but is not limited to):

  • Topsites

  • Cannabis, CBD, or marijuana-related sites

  • IRC scripts, bots, or servers

  • Proxy/anonymizer scripts

  • Image hosting scripts (Photobucket/Tinypic style)

  • Autosurf/PTC/PPC sites

  • IP scanners

  • Bruteforce, hacking, malware or penetration tools

  • Spam or mass-mailing systems

  • File dump or mirror sites

  • Audio streaming exceeding 1–2 streams

  • Escrow/bank debenture programs

  • HYIP, investment schemes, FOREX, Ponzi, MLM

  • Sale of controlled substances without permits

  • Lottery, gambling, betting sites

  • Gaming servers

  • Hacking-focused communities

  • Sites linking to or distributing illegal/pirated material

  • Fraudulent sites (aa419.org, escrow-fraud.com, etc)

  • Live sports broadcasting streams (UFC, FIFA, NBA, etc)

  • Anonymous or bulk SMS gateways

  • Bitcoin/mining applications

  • Payday loan sites

  • Phishing, scamming, identity theft

  • Hosting or distributing malware

  • Unauthorized access or data harvesting

  • Hate speech, violent, or abusive content

Child Pornography Strictly Forbidden

Any content involving minors — real or perceived — will lead to immediate termination and may be reported to authorities.


2.4. Free Web Hosting (Resellers)

Resellers are not permitted to offer free hosting services.


2.5. Other Content Restrictions

Matex IT Services may remove any content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, threatening, or violates our Terms of Service.


3. Unacceptable Resource Usage

You may NOT:

  • Use more than 25% of system resources for longer than 90 seconds

  • Run unattended server-side processes or daemons

  • Run spiders, indexers, or crawling tools

  • Use software that interfaces with IRC

  • Host or run BitTorrent applications, clients, or trackers

  • Participate in P2P or file-sharing networks

  • Run gaming servers

  • Run cron jobs at intervals less than 15 minutes

  • Run MySQL queries longer than 15 seconds

  • Use PHP to include remote URLs instead of local files

  • Force HTML files to execute server-side code


4. Zero-Tolerance Spam Policy

We strictly prohibit:

  • Unsolicited emails or bulk messaging

  • Safe lists or purchased mailing lists

  • Selling or trading email lists

Accounts involved in spam may be suspended or terminated without notice.

Websites advertised through spam (“spamvertising”) may not be hosted on our servers.

Any account that causes our IP ranges to be blacklisted will be immediately suspended.

Matex IT Services reserves the right to charge cleanup or blacklist removal fees.


5. WHMCS Support Policy

Matex IT Services provides assistance only for initial WHMCS installation.

6. Matex IT Services’ Rights

Matex reserves the right to investigate any actual or suspected violation of this AUP. You agree to cooperate in resolving such issues.

Matex may cooperate with law enforcement and disclose customer identity if required.

Technical measures may be applied to prevent AUP violations.


7. Disclaimer

Matex IT Services is not obligated to monitor user activity, content, or data.
We disclaim responsibility for material created or stored by users.

If we become aware of prohibited content that exposes us to risk, we may block, remove, or disable access.


8. AUP Violations

Services may be suspended or terminated with or without notice for any AUP violation.

Failure to respond to abuse emails within 48 hours may result in suspension or termination.
